We are looking for a motivated and keen Accountant to work with our UK Finance Team primarily responsible for the Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific (EAA) region. You will have the opportunity to show off your current experience as well as further developing your finance skills eventually taking on the whole of the APAC accounting function while assisting with the Europe and Africa regions. This is a stand-alone role based in our Kuala Lumpur Office, reporting to the Regional Controller, EAA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing expense receipts, dealing with any queries and reviewing and releasing expense claims.
- Processing credit card receipts and claims.
- Collation and recording of supplier invoices into accounts package and dealing with any queries.
- Assistance with reviewing project setups and rates applied within the accounts package.
- Reviewing and releasing weekly timecards submitted by staff.
- Calculating and filing of local taxes.
- Communication with external providers including banks, payroll and government departments throughout the APAC region.
- Credit Control.
- Preparation of client invoices based on client contracts.
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monthly balance sheet, P&L and management accounts review.
- Assistance with preparation of audit information and liaison with local auditors.
- Other general finance tasks as required.
Skills & Competencies Requirements:
- Capable and driven accounting professional, qualified or part qualified or qualified through experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and spoken English, excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of web-based accounting packages.
- University graduate, preferably with a finance degree.
