West Africa

Sproule ERCE has been involved in offshore West African work since the late 1990’s.

Sproule ERCE has been the auditor of Tullow since 2003. We have worked with other core West African independent operators and have completed many prospectivity studies.

We have also been involved with many of the major divestment processes by Shell, ConocoPhillips and Exxon across the regions. Our breadth of experience in Expert advisory, technical studies and CPR reporting, means that Sproule ERCE is a world leader in West African evaluations.

North Africa

Sproule ERCE’s experience in North Africa has both operational and consultancy roots. David Wilson and Simon McDonald operated Tunisian Carbonate fields as CEO and Engineering Manager of Atlantis Oil in the 1990’s. A number of our staff have worked for operators in Northern Africa.

Our work has ranged from integrated Field Development studies in complex Algerian sandstone fields, extensive work in Libya, RBL advisory and M&A studies in onshore and offshore Egypt and Tunisia to high C02 development studies in Tunisia and prospect studies in Morocco.

East Africa

Sproule ERCE has been involved in East Africa for over 30 years, with our staff undertaking prospectivity reviews, seismic acquisition studies and basin modelling across countries such as Sudan, Eritrea and Ethiopia.

In recent years, as new petroleum plays have emerged, Sproule ERCE has worked with clients in their exploration and appraisal of the onshore Rift Valley oil play in Uganda and Kenya, and the offshore Tanzanian/ Mozambique gas play.
