Malaysia is fast becoming a CCS hub, due to the demand for storage from nearby APAC countries like Japan and South Korea. Furthermore, many of the oil an gas fields are high in CO2 content, and companies are now implementing plans to capture and store their Scope 1 CO2 from these fields.

Our client wished to learn about CCS and ensure they were approaching their potential development using industry standard workflows and techniques.
Description of services provided by Sproule ERCE staff:
Sproule ERCE’s geoscientists and reservoir engineers attended virtual workshops with our client’s team over the course of a year. Our client would inform us in advance of the topics they wished to cover, so Sproule ERCE could assign the staff embers with the most knowledge in the specific area. We would advise them during the meetings on whether their approach aligned with industry standards, and where there was room for improvement.
We were flexible in our approach to helping our client. Where beneficial, we took time to compile relevant information and carried out example workflows for our client and presented these during meetings for them to take away.
